A few years back we were hearing all sorts of stuff about a potential sequel being prepped to follow-up the Will Smith horror actioner I Am Legend. Well that sequel finally looks to be moving forward with Smith on board in both a starring and producing role. The Hollywood Reporter has also just revealed that Arash Amel has been signed up to pen the sequel.
Smith himself is currently involved in a whole load of other potential sequels right now including Hancock 2, I, Robot 2, Bad Boys 3, Men in Black III and The Karate Kid 2 starring his son Jaden and Kung-fu actor Jackie Chan so a confirmed filming slot for another I Am Legend is way off yet anyway. Previous rumours were that any follow-up film would have to be a prequelisation more so than an actual sequel due to the fact that Smith’s character Dr. Robert Neville died in the original.
