The Resident Evil series has been around since 1996, and during that span, it has seen a great number of spinoffs–some pretty good ones such as Resident Evil Outbreak but many more not so good titles. Unfortunately, Resident Evil Operation Raccoon City ended up more like that latter as poor game design choices, glitches and uninspired plot and characters abound. Fans hoping for a new game that’s just as much fun as Outbreak will be sorely disappointed as this game is only for the truly diehard Resident Evil fans. Read more…

Just in time for the holiday season sales rush, JAWS: Ultimate Predator has just arrived for the Nintendo Wii and 3DS. Horror game fans who are looking for pointlessly trivial fun playing as a the killer Great White Shark might find just what they’re looking for in the open-water hunting game.  Games publisher Majesco announced last month that this newest JAWS release features enhanced gameplay, visuals and collectibles over the previous JAWS game but nonetheless we give it a thoroughly good going over in this months new issue of SCREAM.

Warner Bros Interactive have just announced the next downloadable brawler for the popular martial arts fighting game Mortal Kombat is Nightmare on Elm Street villain Freddy Krueger. The character will be available for US$4.99 on PlayStation Network and Xbox Live but Mortal Kombat owners who purchased a Season Pass will get Freddy as part of the package anyway. Read more…
